





In a moment of pride and celebration for Ibadan North Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has received LBO World Title Champion, Kolajo Toheeb, popularly known as “Spirit,” at his council office in Agodi.

Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade welcomed the victorious boxer, an illustrious son of Ward 5, Ibadan North who recently clinched the prestigious LBO World Title after defeating UK-based Nigerian fighter, Abdulahi Habeeb, in a thrilling contest held in Lagos, Nigeria.
Speaking during the reception, Hon. Olufade expressed profound joy and pride, noting that Spirit’s achievement reflects the excellence, resilience, and determination of youths from the Pacesetter Local Government.
“It is a thing of joy to receive one of our own who has brought global recognition to us,” he said.

“Kolajo Toheeb has not only made himself proud; he has made Ibadan North proud and has brought honour to Oyo State.




As a government, we will continue to support youth development and create enabling opportunities for talents to thrive.”
The chairman further urged young people across the local government to remain focused, dedicated, and intentional about their careers and dreams, assuring them that commitment always leads to success and societal recognition.

In a symbolic and emotional gesture, Spirit presented his championship belt to Hon. Olufade, affirming his deep connection to Ward 5 and showcasing to the world that Ibadan North produces champions of global repute.
Hon. Olufade also pledged continuous support for Spirit’s career growth as well as other gifted youths within the local government, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to nurturing talent.

Kolajo Toheeb “Spirit” was accompanied on the visit by his brother and fellow boxer, Adeyemi Oluwapelumi Adekanla, and was warmly received by the Chairman’s team, including the Chief of Staff, Hamdy Mustapha; Special Adviser on Education, Ajibola Ademola; and Head of Media, Aderibigbe Yisahu.
