As the 2025 PDP National Convention continues in grand style in Ibadan, the political heartbeat of the South West, the Chairman of the Oyo State Park Management System (PMS), Alhaji Abdulwasiu Tomiwa Omolewa, popularly known as Tommy, on Saturday led thousands of PMS members in a spirited solidarity rally to honour and support the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE.
The rally, which swept through major streets, communities, and commercial hubs across Ibadan, added colour, excitement, and momentum to the convention atmosphere.
PMS members, in their thousands, trooped out to reaffirm their confidence in Governor Makinde’s purposeful leadership.
Speaking during the energetic procession, Alhaji Tommy said the rally was a public demonstration of gratitude to the Governor for the holistic development and unprecedented transformation recorded across Oyo State since the inception of his administration.
He praised Engr. Makinde’s visionary governance, citing the state’s remarkable infrastructural revolution.
He particularly highlighted the network of quality roads, the modern bus terminals across major zones, and the recently commissioned Ibadan Central Bus Terminal, unveiled on Wednesday, 12th November 2025, which he described as a landmark project that has elevated the state’s transport system to a new height.
Alhaji Tommy emphasized that under Governor Makinde’s leadership, Oyo State has become a reference point among the comity of states in Nigeria, admired for its progress, stability, and inclusive development.
“As the PDP Convention is ongoing here in our beloved city, we want the whole nation to know that the Park Management System is fully and firmly behind Governor Seyi Makinde any day, any time,” Tommy declared.
“In him, we see a transformer, an uncommon governor, and a visionary leader whose achievements continue to speak for him.”
He also extended his goodwill to all PDP delegates participating in the ongoing national convention, wishing them a peaceful, successful, and historic gathering in Ibadan.
The rally, which drew massive attention across the city, further solidified the PMS’s unwavering loyalty to the Makinde administration and added to the vibrancy and significance of Ibadan’s hosting of this year’s historic PDP National Convention.
