




The Vice Chairman of Egbeda Local Government and Political Head/Administrator of Ajorosun LCDA, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple, has congratulated and commended the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, on the successful commissioning of the magnificent Ibadan Central Bus Terminal, Iwo Road, a landmark project he described as “a signature of excellence and a generational gift to the people of Oyo State.”
Hon. Simple, in a statement issued to the press, praised the Governor for his unwavering commitment to modernizing critical infrastructure and repositioning Oyo State as a true pacesetter in urban development.
According to him, the new terminal is not only a masterpiece in design and utility but also a strong indication that Governor Makinde is deliberately building a future-ready state where order, innovation, and human dignity take center stage.
“What Governor Makinde has done at Iwo Road goes far beyond constructing a terminal; he has delivered a world-class facility that places Oyo State on the map of globally competitive cities,” Hon. Simple said.




“This is the kind of leadership that restores pride, inspires confidence, and reinforces the belief that governance can indeed work for the people.”
He noted that the Ibadan Central Bus Terminal, with its two ultra-modern stations, well-planned transport architecture, digital ticketing spaces, comfortable waiting lounges, elevators, escalators, eateries, restrooms, and expansive parking areas, represents a new chapter in the state’s transportation ecosystem.
Hon. Simple further commended the Governor for his consistency in delivering projects that improve mobility, boost commerce, attract investors, and beautify the capital city.
“Under Governor Makinde, Oyo State is witnessing a renaissance roads, terminals, schools, hospitals, and economic corridors are being transformed with a sense of purpose and continuity,” he stated.
“This project alone speaks volumes: the future of transportation in Ibadan is here, and it is impressive.”
He applauded the Governor’s boldness in executing mega projects like the 110km Ibadan Circular Road, describing it as one of the most strategic economic decisions in the history of the state.
Hon. Simple emphasized that Egbeda Local Government and Ajorosun LCDA have directly benefited from the Governor’s people-centered governance style, which prioritizes accessibility, development equity, and inclusive growth.
“As a key stakeholder at the grassroots, I can boldly say that Governor Makinde’s impact is felt in every community,” he said.
“He leads with clarity, delivers with integrity, and governs with compassion, qualities that continue to set him apart.”
He urged residents and transport operators to take ownership of the newly commissioned terminal and ensure its proper use and maintenance, stressing that such infrastructure belongs to the people and must be preserved for future generations.
Hon. Simple concluded by reaffirming his loyalty to the Governor’s developmental vision and expressed optimism that Oyo State will continue to flourish under Makinde’s steady leadership.
“Governor Makinde has raised the bar. He is building a legacy that will outlive politics and echo across generations. Oyo State is lucky to have him, and history will remember him kindly,” he added.
