In a gesture aimed at fostering community-police relations, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Iyaganku Division paid a courtesy visit to the revered Aweni House in Ibadan.

The visit was hosted by Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, FCA — the Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, Chairman of Aweni Communication and Holdings, renowned philanthropist, and a 2027 gubernatorial hopeful under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Oloye Adegoke, who also serves as the Mogaji of Abosé Compound in Gege, Ibadan, warmly received the DPO and his delegation.

 


 

 

The visit provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss matters pivotal to security, youth development, and public welfare within the community.

During the interactive session, Oloye Adegoke reiterated his commitment to deepening community support systems through collaborative efforts with agencies such as the Nigeria Police Force.

He emphasized the importance of synergy between traditional institutions, political leadership, and security operatives to ensure a safe and progressive society.

The DPO also commended Oloye Adegoke’s continued philanthropic gestures, particularly in the areas of education, empowerment, and societal development.

He expressed optimism that such engagements would further boost public trust and enhance security consciousness among residents.
