 
                



In a remarkable show of solidarity and commitment to the progress of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Agba’Akin Benedict Akika, founder of the Omituntun Benedict Foundation and a strong ally of Governor Seyi Makinde joined party leaders and members at the Akinyele PDP Local Government first meeting held after the 2025 congress.
The meeting which was at the Funduk Moniya party house attracted thousands of party faithful.
The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, who delivered a powerful address emphasizing unity, loyalty, and collective responsibility as key ingredients for the PDP’s continued success ahead of the 2027 elections.


 
 
Prominent party chieftains, including Engr. J.A. Akinsola, Chief Akin Aderibigbe, Hon. Oludayo Opasola Opatokun (PDP Oyo Central Senatorial Chairman), and Alh. Lateef Babatunde Salawu (Akinyele PDP LG Chairman), also addressed the gathering.
They applauded members for their steadfastness and peaceful conduct during the recent party congress, charging everyone to remain focused and united in preparation for future political contests.
Agba’Akin Benedict Akika, in his goodwill message, expressed appreciation to party members for their loyalty and commitment to the ideals of the PDP.
He urged them to remain resolute, emphasizing that unity and internal harmony are vital for sustaining the gains of Governor Makinde’s administration and ensuring victory in forthcoming elections.
Also in attendance were Hon. Olalekan Monsur Abiola, the Akinyele Constituency 1 representative at the Oyo State House of Assembly; the Vice Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Sakiru Akintunde; and other stakeholders, leaders, and grassroots mobilizers of the PDP family in Akinyele.
