The Bada Olubadan Designate and Asiwaju of Ona Ara Local Government, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi (JDS), has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the people of Oyo State and beyond for the overwhelming love and celebration shown to him on his 57th birthday anniversary.
Chief Sanusi, popularly known as Okanlomo Oòdua, described the outpouring of affection as deeply humbling and inspiring. He revealed that despite his absence from Ilaji Resort on the day of celebration, the premises were filled with well-wishers, supporters, and admirers who came together to honour him, reflecting the strong bond between his vision and the people.
“I feel much loved,” Chief Sanusi stated in an appreciation message shared through his media team. “Almost two million people across the state and beyond celebrated me in one form or another.
I want to urge everyone who believes in me, and in the progress of our dear state, to convert that love into power—by getting your Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC). That is the real gift you can give me and the best way to shape our future together.”
In a separate post on his verified Facebook page, Chief Sanusi reaffirmed his optimism for the journey ahead, declaring:
“This is my year—the year of greatness, purpose, and unstoppable progress. No one can stop what God has destined. I’m walking boldly into greatness.”
The Asiwaju of Ona Ara has continued to demonstrate a people-oriented approach to leadership, combining philanthropy, vision, and cultural pride with a clear message of civic responsibility.
As the 2027 political season begins to take shape, Chief Sanusi’s call for citizens’ participation through voter registration and PVC acquisition resonates as a strong reminder that genuine transformation begins with active political involvement.
