In a renewed effort to safeguard public infrastructure and restore stable electricity to the community, security agencies in Ibarapa Central Local Government have vowed to go after those responsible for vandalizing electricity materials meant for power restoration.

The strategic security meeting held again at the Igboora Police Station yesterday, brought together key security formations including the Nigeria Police, Amotekun Corps, Vigilante Group, Civil Defense and the Hunters’ Association alongside the representative of the Olu of Igboora.

The session also had in attendance the Project Manager, Engr. Tokunbo Agba, who introduced his technical team and unveiled their official means of identification to security personnel to prevent any case of mistaken identity or infiltration by criminal elements.

 




 

Speaking on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Olusola Adeleke, the Chief of Staff, Hon. Yemi Atilola conveyed the Chairman’s heartfelt concern and firm directive to the security agencies to pursue and apprehend all those behind the vandalization of electricity facilities.

He described the act as a deliberate sabotage against the collective progress of Ibarapa Central and urged the operatives not to show leniency to any offender caught in the act.

Hon. Adeleke emphasized that the administration would not fold its arms while a few individuals frustrate the government’s genuine efforts to restore power to the people.

He reaffirmed his total commitment to protecting community assets, supporting security operatives and ensuring that residents enjoy the dividends of good governance in a peaceful and stable environment.

In separate remarks, the Divisional Police Officer of Igboora, CSP Sunday Imanah commended the Executive Chairman for his proactive leadership and quick response to the situation.

He also assured that the security architecture across the local government has been strengthened to ensure effective patrol and surveillance.

At the end of the meeting, all security formations jointly resolved to intensify operations, monitor movement around electricity installations, and ensure that anyone caught vandalizing public property faces the full weight of the law.
