In a proactive move to address the growing concern of electricity vandalization in the community, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke convened a crucial security meeting today October 15th, 2025 with all key stakeholders across the local government area.

The Chairman who was ably represented by Hon. Yemi Atilola, Chief of Staff to the Chairman expressed deep concern over the recent vandalization of electrical installations meant to restore power supply to the community. He described the act as unfortunate and counterproductive to the collective effort of government and stakeholders in bringing electricity back to residents, emphasizing the need for vigilance and community cooperation to curb such occurrences.

In his message made available by his personal assistant Azeez Sodiq Adesina during the deliberation, delegates thoughtfully examined actionable strategies, mapped out critical areas within the community and proposed stronger collaborative security measures to curb the recurring acts of vandalism. Their discussions reflected a deep sense of responsibility and collective determination to safeguard the public utilities that serve the people of Ibarapa Central.

The Executive Chairman also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives, properties and public facilities across Ibarapa Central Local Government.

 




 

Present at the meeting were representatives of IBEDC, Contractor, Amotekun Corps, Hunters’ Association, Vigilante Group, traditional leaders (represented by Kabiyesi’s delegates), and the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).

In conclusion, the stakeholders unanimously agreed on the need for prompt community reporting of any suspicious individuals or activities to relevant security agencies.
