The Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland and distinguished business mogul, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, FCA, who served as the Chairman of the Day, has lauded the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the creation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, describing it as a visionary step toward promoting Oyo State’s rich cultural heritage and unlocking its tourism potential.

Adegoke also commended the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, for his dedication and innovative leadership in repositioning the ministry for global relevance.

 




 

While addressing guests at the World Twins Festival held in Igboora — the globally acclaimed World Twins Capital— Adegoke praised the Olu of Igboora, the Federal Representative of Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, and the entire Igboora community for sustaining and celebrating the town’s unique cultural identity.

He described the festival as a symbol of unity, pride, and opportunity, noting that “the occasion will not only attract tourists from across the world but also spur infrastructural and economic development within the community and across Oyo State, which remains the pride of the South-West region.”

As part of his contribution to the growth of the Ibarapa Zone and Oyo State at large, the 2027 PDP Gubernatorial Hopeful, Oloye Adegboyega Adegoke, announced a ₦20 million donation in support of the festival, alongside ₦10 million each to the three local government areas in the Ibarapa Zone — totaling ₦50 million — to further promote cultural development and community advancement.

Adegoke reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the progress of Oyo State and the upliftment of its people through strategic investments, inclusive governance, and empowerment initiatives that foster growth and unity.
