In a heartfelt celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, Mrs. Taiwo Abibat Mudashiru, Chairperson of Lagelu Local Government, reaffirmed the local administration’s commitment to empowering young girls through education, mentorship, and community leadership. Speaking with passion, she emphasized the transformative power of educating girls, declaring, “A girl with an education can shape her own destiny, lift up her family, and transform her community.”

Mrs. Mudashiru stated the local administration is rolling out initiatives to uplift adolescent girls across Lagelu LGA, with a focus on opening doors to quality education, fostering empowerment through sports and arts, and providing mentorship to nurture future leaders.

 




 

“This year, we’re more dedicated than ever to helping girls reach their full potential,” she said. “We’re standing up against violence, encouraging their talents, and teaching them to lead in their communities.”

The Chairperson’s vision is clear: by equipping girls with the tools to succeed, they can create lasting change not only in their lives but also in their families and the broader society.

Her lead programs around the local government area aim to break barriers, ensuring that every girl in Lagelu has the opportunity to thrive.
