I have been a teacher all my life.

I have spent the biggest part of my adult years in classrooms, guiding young people and helping them build strong values.

It has taken several strategies and structures; from basic to leading more advanced groups, this work has shaped who I am, and I feel proud.

I love teachers and what they do because it is indeed opening doors for others in ways that last a lifetime.

I feel reminded of the simple joy in seeing a student grow, and it keeps me connected to the heart of this profession.

The job of a good teacher is tough but rewarding.

It means planning carefully, adjusting to each student’s needs, and going beyond normal hours to make sure they understand.

Teachers push themselves to connect ideas, solve doubts, and boost students’ confidence, often using their own time and energy.

Teachers deprive themselves of pleasure to satisfy their students.

What better way to describe sacrifice? More particularly, this role is special because it creates a bond between teacher and student, and this is where real success comes from, through effort and trust.

It takes patience, heart, and strength, but the results make it all worth it.

I say with so much clarity that teachers are pillars. Teachers are the backbone of any society that wants to succeed and grow.

They pass on skills and ideas that help people learn, lead, and keep things stable.

They deserve to be seen as key figures, given the tools and respect to do their work well.

Without them, no nation or society can really move forward or stay together.

I care a lot about education, and I have said many times that I will focus my energy on it when I become Governor of Oyo State.

This is not for political correctness, I wish to renew my commitment today and in this moment of World Teachers’ Day.

I am proud to call myself a teacher and stand with all educators in Oyo State, Nigeria, and around the world.

I pray that our hard work brings more deserving results and helps build a prosperous world for those we teach.
