Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK), a leading governorship aspirant for the 2027 Oyo State election, visited Harris Academy Bermondsey Hall ahead of the upcoming AKK Town Hall Meeting, Book Launch, and Fundraising scheduled to hold on Saturday, 11th October 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
While speaking with the media during his visit, Dr. Kareem reaffirmed his commitment and readiness to lead Oyo State into a new era of progress and integrity-driven governance.
“Those who have contested before and those who have held political offices in our dear state have played their part in shaping Oyo’s journey,” he stated. “Now is the time for a new vision — one rooted in conscience, competence, and compassion. It is my turn to serve Oyo State with sincerity and to be a role model for the next generation of leaders.”
Despite never holding a political office, Dr. Kareem has demonstrated exceptional leadership, philanthropy, and passion for development both at home and abroad. His numerous contributions to Oyo State and beyond include:
Educational Advancement: Founder of Attaofeequ Billahi International School (ABIS), through which he has provided quality education and scholarships to children from low-income families in Oyo State.
Agricultural Empowerment: Creator of Attaofeequ Billahi Farms (AB Farm) — an initiative promoting food security, youth engagement, and sustainable agricultural practices in the state.
Public Service Excellence: Serving as an educator and school leader with the Department of Education in Australia, AKK has applied his international experience in administration, policy development, and youth empowerment.
Economic Empowerment: Launch of a ₦5 million non-interest loan scheme for artisans, traders, and small business owners in Oyo State to foster self-reliance and entrepreneurship at the grassroots.
Community Philanthropy: Continuous investment in humanitarian causes — including education, healthcare, and welfare support — particularly for widows, students, and vulnerable groups.
Grassroots Mobilization: Establishment of the AKK Aseyori Group across the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State, creating a strong network for civic education, political engagement, and developmental advocacy.
Global Consultation and Engagement: Initiation of a worldwide consultation tour — spanning the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Canada, and the United States — to engage Oyo State indigenes in the diaspora and rally collective input for sustainable governance.
Dr. Kareem’s forthcoming Town Hall Meeting and Book Launch in London will bring together Oyo State indigenes, APC members, and community leaders to discuss his policy agenda, titled “Our Realistic Tomorrow: A Compendium of Hope, Integrity, and Transformation.”
