Former Commissioner for Environment in Oyo State, Alhaji Majekodunmi Aborode, has commended the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the successful and peaceful conduct of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State Congress held at Adamasingba, Ibadan, on Monday, September 29, 2025.
Alh. Aborode, a respected PDP chieftain and notable stakeholder in Ibarapa, described the peaceful outcome of the congress as a testament to Governor Makinde’s leadership style, which continues to promote unity, inclusiveness, and internal democracy within the party.
Speaking from Saudi Arabia, where he is currently observing the Lesser Hajj, the former commissioner revealed that he fervently prayed for Governor Makinde, asking Almighty Allah to grant him wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the smooth running of governance in the state and for the continued success of the PDP.
While pledging his unwavering loyalty and support to Governor Makinde and the party leadership, Alh. Aborode also extended his warm congratulations to all newly elected executives of the Oyo State PDP.

He urged them to embrace teamwork and transparency, while wishing them a smooth administration that will further strengthen the party’s dominance in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
He reaffirmed his commitment to working alongside other stakeholders to ensure that the PDP remains the party of choice for the people, stressing that with unity of purpose, the party will continue to excel above all others.
