As Nigeria marks her 65th Independence Anniversary, Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency hopeful, Rotarian Oluseyi Oyebamiji, has sent a heartfelt message of encouragement to Nigerians, particularly the people of Oyo State and his home constituency, Egbeda/Ona Ara, calling for renewed faith, unity and resilience despite the nation’s socio-economic challenges.
In his goodwill message, Oyebamiji congratulated Nigerians on yet another year of nationhood, describing Independence Day as “a reminder of our shared sacrifices, enduring struggles and the unshakable spirit that binds us together as a people.”
He urged citizens not to give in to despair, even when the nation’s challenges appear overwhelming.
“Independence Day is not only about celebrating the past; it is a call to keep the flame of hope alive,” Oyebamiji said.
The federal constituency hopeful emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence, stressing that Nigeria’s diversity remains its greatest blessing.
Oyebamiji also appealed to the Federal Government to take bold steps in addressing the nation’s rising insecurity and economic distress.
“No nation can progress when its citizens live in fear or struggle to afford the basic necessities of life. The time has come for people-centered policies that restore security, revive the economy and rekindle the hope of every Nigerian,” he noted.
In the same breath, Oyebamiji congratulated the newly elected executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, describing their emergence as a sign of renewed strength and unity in the party.
“I warmly congratulate our newly elected PDP executives in Oyo State under the leadership of Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, Vice Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke and a host of others.
Your leadership marks a new chapter of unity and service. I encourage you to stay committed to the ideals of democracy and work together to ensure the party continues to deliver dividends of democracy to our people,” he said.
Oyebamiji concluded by saluting the resilience of Nigerians and reaffirming his optimism about the nation’s future.
Rotarian Oluseyi Oyebamiji wish all Nigerians, especially the people of Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency, a peaceful and joyous Independence Day celebration, praying for a future filled with prosperity, progress, and renewed national pride.
