Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi, former House of Representatives aspirant, former Councillor of Ward 12 in Ibadan North, and the Aare of Akoboland, has felicitated with the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, as he clocks 81.
Hon. Oyeniyi described Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja as a noble statesman and cultural icon whose life epitomizes sacrifice, humility, and a deep love for his people.
“Baba Ladoja is not only a leader in politics but also a custodian of tradition who has lived his life with dignity, honour, and unwavering service,” he said.
He recalled how Baba Ladoja’s years in government were marked by courage and visionary leadership, and how his contributions to Ibadan’s traditional institution demonstrate patience and respect for due process.
“Baba’s life is a living lecture to the younger generation: that leadership is about service, not privilege, and that tradition is about humility, not vanity,” Oyeniyi added.
He prayed for God’s abundant blessings on the Olubadan-designate and urged Ibadan sons and daughters to rally around their new monarch as he prepares to mount the exalted throne.
