The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State successfully conducted its Local Government Congress on Saturday, 20th of September 2025— electing a new set of local executives to steer the party’s affairs for the next term.
The event, held at Iyana-Offa, was marked by enthusiasm and unity among party members, signaling a renewed commitment to strengthening the PDP’s presence in the region.

On his part, the chairman of Lagelu local government, Hon. Kamorudeen Mudashiru commended the PDP for its commitment to democratic principles and urged the new executives to prioritize thorough community engagement and development.
He emphasized the need for the party to work closely with local stakeholders to address pressing issues such as infrastructure, security, and empowerment, aligning with his administration’s vision for a “secure, prosperous, and connected Lagelu.
