The Arewa community in Sabo, Ibadan North Local Government, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, popularly known as DON, on his resounding victory at the just concluded Ibadan North Federal Constituency Bye-election and on receiving his Certificate of Return on Thursday in Abuja.

In a statement made available by the Councilor representing ward 6 of ibadan North Local Government, hon. Ibrahim Fairah, the victory of Hon. Oyekunle was described as a true reflection of the good governance and inclusive leadership style of Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, FNSE.

According to the community, Governor Makinde has consistently extended hands of fellowship to the Arewa and Sabo people through free education for their children, employment opportunities for their youth, massive infrastructural development in Sabo, and his constant show of respect and love for their religious leaders.

They pledged their unflinching loyalty and assured the Governor of their total support “any day, any time.”

The Arewa community also specially appreciated Otunba Seye Famojuro for his unwavering love and continuous association with them, noting with gratitude his recent thank-you visit to Sabo in company of the winner of the just concluded Bye-election, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, and the Personal Assistant to the Governor, Alhaji Akeem, shortly after the PDP’s victory.

 




 

Furthermore, the community expressed deep gratitude to Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, Alhaji Akeem, and the PDP Secretary in Oyo State, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, for their open-hearted love and commitment to the welfare of Sabo.

“We do not take your support for granted,” the statement read, adding that the Arewa community sees themselves as an integral part of the state because this government has never marginalized them.

While rejoicing with Hon. Oyekunle DON, the Arewa community admonished him to provide qualitative representation at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, carrying the aspirations of Ibadan North Federal Constituency with pride.

They prayed for his success, wisdom, and strength in serving the people.

“We stand with you.

We believe in you.

And we will always support you,” the statement concluded.
