The political momentum of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle Don, received a fresh boost as the Directorate of Politics and Governance (DPG) in Ibadan North Local Government formally pledged its loyalty, support, and commitment to his leadership.
In a formal letter signed by Pastor Kunle Akala, Coordinator of DPG in Ibadan North, the group expressed admiration for Hon. Don’s dedication, vision, and tireless service towards advancing the cause of the people.
The statement acknowledged his notable achievements, values, and steadfastness, assuring him of the DPG’s total solidarity for the greater good of the constituency.
The letter read in part:
“We recognise your achievements and the values you represent, and we stand in full solidarity with your leadership for the greater good of our constituency.
We kindly request an opportunity to meet with you to reaffirm our support in person, discuss matters of mutual interest, and explore to see to your continued success.”
Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle Don was ably represented at the engagement by Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi, a former Federal House of Representatives aspirant and one-time Councillor of Ward 12 in Ibadan North Local Government.
The meeting, which underscored the growing grassroots acceptance of Hon. Don’s candidacy, ended with a renewed commitment from the DPG to mobilise its structures across all wards for a resounding PDP victory in the forthcoming by-election.
