

In preparation for the August 16 Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ward 6 has commenced an intensive grassroots mobilisation tagged Operation DONdeal.

The exercise, which took place on Saturday, was led by the Ward 6 Councillor, Hon. Ibrahim Fairah, a performing councillor noted for delivering dividends of democracy through empowerment and community development projects.
Starting from their weekly meeting ground at Saint Bridges School, PDP leaders, executives and members moved across the ward in a colourful show of unity, visiting households to sensitize residents on the importance of participating in the forthcoming election.

In their unified chants of DONdeal! DONdeal!, they called on residents to rally behind the PDP candidate, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON), and vote massively for him on August 16.


They emphasized that the ward has already benefitted from the developmental strides of the PDP-led administration in Oyo State and must ensure continuity of these gains.
Speaking during the rally, Hon. Ibrahim Fairah urged residents to turn out in large numbers on election day, describing the coming election as “a decisive moment for the growth of Ibadan North.”

Prominent PDP stakeholders who participated in the mobilisation include Alhaji Danjuma Yakubu, Jelil Hamza, Hon. Jah, Alhaji Sani Mustapha, Abdul Fatahi, Alhaji Abdul Azeez, Said Mahmud Said, Salisu Mikailu, Ward Chairman Ismaila Yahya, alongside ward executives and enthusiastic party members.
The Ward 6 PDP chapter has assured that the Operation DONdeal movement will continue in the days leading up to the bye-election, with the aim of delivering a resounding victory for the PDP.
