The Councillor representing Ward 6 in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Faira, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to a cleaner, healthier Sabo community through his flagship initiative, Operation Keep Sabo Clean.

The community-based environmental initiative, which he founded and launched under the auspices of the former Oyo State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, has continued to gather momentum and attract strategic partnerships since its inception.

During the latest sanitation exercise held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, which coincided with the state’s last Saturday environmental sanitation day, the forum took its commitment to a new level by collaborating with a notable non-governmental organization, Fembib Total Wellness Foundation International, to clean up the Sabo community.

Speaking during the exercise, Hon. Faira expressed his delight at the growing impact of the initiative and praised the foundation for joining hands to improve environmental and public health in Sabo.
“The vision of Operation Keep Sabo Clean is to promote a culture of cleanliness and responsibility in our community.

Today, I am particularly excited that Fembib Total Wellness Foundation International has partnered with us.
Their passion for community health and wellness aligns perfectly with our goals,” he stated.
The councillor also used the occasion to commend the developmental strides of Governor Seyi Makinde, particularly the reconstruction of Sabo Road, which he described as a major facelift for the area.
He stressed, however, that such government investments must be complemented by the people through proper waste disposal and responsible use of public infrastructure.
Hon. Faira also praised the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, for his commitment to keeping the community clean and for consistently demonstrating exemplary leadership.
“Governor Seyi Makinde has done excellently well for us in Sabo, and Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade is complementing his work at the local government level.
Cleanliness is a collective responsibility,” Faira emphasized.

In her remarks, Mrs. Bibitayo Falana, who represented Fembib Total Wellness Foundation International at the event, commended the councillor’s vision and pledged to sustain the partnership, noting that a healthy environment is key to a healthy community.
The exercise witnessed a large turnout of volunteers from both the forum and the foundation, as streets, drainages, and public spaces across Sabo were cleared of debris and refuse.

Hon. Faira concluded by appreciating the members of Operation Keep Sabo Clean for their dedication and assured them of his continued commitment to quality representation and grassroots development for Ward 6 in Ibadan North Local Government.
