Between 2019 and 2023, Folajimmi Oyekunle (Don) served as a Member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Ibadan North Constituency 1. His tenure was marked by developmental-driven representation, accessibility, and tireless service to his people.

So impressive was his performance that he earned the ticket for a second term. However, when the party decided to uphold its gender inclusion policy by fielding a female candidate, he humbly stepped aside, respected the party’s decision, and actively worked for the success of the PDP in the elections.

His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, a man known for recognizing and rewarding capacities and loyalty, saw the potential in Oyekanmi (Don), and he appointed him as Deputy Chief of Staff.
