It was a moment of jubilation and unity in Ibadan North Local Government on Monday as leaders and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gathered to celebrate the recent appointments of prominent indigenes of the area by the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
The atmosphere was filled with joy as PDP leaders, local government executives, ward chairmen, elected officials, and appointees converged to honour three illustrious sons of Ibadan North who were recently appointed into key positions in the state.
Among the celebrated appointees were:
• Hon. Kazim Adeyinka Adeniyi Bibire, appointed as Deputy chief of staff to Governor Seyi Makinde
- Hon. Kabiru Salami De-Bomba, appointed as Executive Assistant to the Governor on Security Coordination,
- Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, appointed as Chairman, Board of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC),
- and Hon. Waheed Adeniyi Biro, who was named Chairman, Oyo State Waste Management Authority.
The gathering unanimously expressed deep appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde, hailing him as “the most performing governor in the history of Oyo State.”
They praised his inclusive style of governance and commitment to rewarding loyalty and competence.
Speaking at the meeting, the PDP faithful not only pledged their unwavering loyalty to Governor Makinde, but also collectively reaffirmed their resolve to work tirelessly for the success of the party’s consensus candidate, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON), in the forthcoming Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election slated for August 16.
“We are united, and we are determined. Our brother, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON, is going to win. We are all ready to contribute our quota to ensure victory for the PDP,” the leaders said in unison.
