The Vice Chairman of Egbeda Local Government and Political Head/Administrator of Ajorosun LCDA, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful in Ajorosun LCDA, Egbeda Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1447.
In a goodwill message made available to the media, Hon. Ibrahim Simple described the Hijrah as a profound historical moment in Islam that reflects endurance, sacrifice, spiritual renewal, and unwavering faith in Allah (SWT).
“The migration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah remains a defining chapter in Islamic history one that inspires us to uphold the values of perseverance, unity, and devotion to Allah’s will,” he noted.
As the Muslim ummah embarks on this new Hijrah year, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple urged them to embrace the teachings of Islam which promote peace, love, humility, and harmonious coexistence.
“The beginning of a new Islamic year is not only a spiritual milestone but also a reminder to recommit ourselves to the ideals of justice, equity, and communal responsibility,” he added.
“Let us use this sacred time to reflect, pray, and work collectively toward building a more peaceful and prosperous society.”
He further called on Muslims in Ajorosun, Egbeda, and beyond to pray fervently for continued peace, stability, and progress in Oyo State and Nigeria.
“May Almighty Allah (SWT) bless us with good health, divine wisdom, and the strength to overcome the challenges of our time.
I pray that this new year brings abundant blessings, renewed hope, and enduring joy to every home,” he prayed.
Hon. Ibrahim Simple concluded by wishing all Muslims a spiritually rewarding and prosperous Hijrah 1447.
