In a historic and spiritually significant event, Alhaji Abdulkareem Abdulsalam Olore has been officially installed as the Chief Imam of Eruwa, bringing to an end an eight-year-long leadership tussle within the Eruwa Muslim community.

The installation, which was witnessed by community leaders, clerics, and well-wishers, marked a moment of celebration and relief for many who had yearned for closure and unity in the town’s religious leadership.

Speaking on behalf of the Alawusa family of Eruwa, Taiwo and Kehinde Salam expressed their heartfelt congratulations to the newly installed Chief Imam.

They described the moment as a “victory for truth, justice, and patience.”

“We are very happy to congratulate Alhaji Abdulkareem Abdulsalam Olore on his installation as the Chief Imam of Eruwa.

It is a day we have long awaited, and we are grateful to Almighty Allah for allowing us to witness it,” the Salam brothers said.

Following the passing of the former Chief Imam, Alhaji Adesina Yakub, the process of appointing a successor became a subject of prolonged legal disputes and contention.

Multiple court cases challenged the legitimacy of Alhaji Abdulkareem’s candidacy, delaying his official installation for nearly a decade.

“After eight years of legal battles and internal disagreements, today signifies not only the affirmation of Alhaji Abdulkareem’s leadership but also a new chapter of peace and progress for the Muslim Ummah in Eruwa,” the Salam brothers added.

They also extended their congratulations to the entire Alawusa family and the broader Eruwa community, noting that the peaceful resolution and eventual installation signal a time for healing and renewed focus on spiritual growth.

In their prayers for the new Chief Imam, Taiwo and Kehinde Salam asked Almighty Allah to grant him sound health, long life, and the wisdom to lead the Muslim faithful with fear of God.

“May his time usher in peace, unity, and divine favor for Eruwa,” they concluded.

The installation of Alhaji Abdulkareem Abdulsalam Olore is widely seen as a significant step toward restoring cohesion within the religious leadership in Eruwa and is expected to foster a stronger, more united Muslim community.
