A prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Kabiru Salami, popularly known as De-Bomba, has hailed the Executive Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, for achieving a historic milestone in grassroots development.

In what has been described as a record-breaking feat, Hon. Olufade commissioned six functional boreholes across six different wards in a single day, a first in the annals of the council’s governance.

The initiative, aimed at alleviating water scarcity, was greeted with widespread applause from community leaders, residents, and political stakeholders.

Hon. Kabiru De-Bomba, in his official statement, praised the chairman’s exceptional commitment to delivering people-focused projects, describing the achievement as “transformational and unprecedented.”

“This is not just about providing water; it’s about solving a long-standing challenge that affects the daily lives of our people. Hon. Olufade has shown, once again, that leadership is about action and impact.

This record-setting initiative is a reflection of true service to humanity,” he said.

The boreholes, each accompanied by a generator to ensure uninterrupted water access, were commissioned across Wards 1 (Odo-Iye), 2 (Bola), 9 (Mokola), 11 (The Polytechnic, Ibadan), 12 (Agbowo), and 8 (Ijokodo), which is Hon. Olufade’s home ward.

Residents in each location expressed joy and gratitude for the swift response to their pressing needs, while traditional leaders, political appointees, and party faithful praised the chairman’s inclusive and responsive style of governance.

The commendation from Hon. Kabiru De-Bomba further reinforces the growing confidence in Olufade’s leadership, particularly among party stakeholders and grassroots mobilizers.

“As a party stalwart from Ward 2, I am proud to witness this level of commitment and performance from our chairman.

The Peoples Democratic Party is evidently in safe hands, and Ibadan North is on a new trajectory of progress,” De-Bomba stated.

The event, which drew large crowds in each community visited, was attended by key dignitaries.
