In a significant show of support and compassion, a prominent grassroots politician and House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan NorthWest/SouthWest Federal Constituency, Mayegun Sunday Olusegun Babanumi, has donated food items worth millions of naira to residents of Ibadan NorthWest/SouthWest Federal Constituency.
The kind gesture, aimed at cushioning the harsh economic realities many are facing, comes as part of Babanumi’s continued commitment to uplifting his people through the Sunday Olusegun Babanumi Initiative (SOBI); a platform known for impactful interventions across education, healthcare, and community development.
A statement made available to the media, Babanumi reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to the welfare of the people, emphasizing that the distribution was not politically motivated but driven by genuine concern for the well-being of his constituents.
“This is a time for compassion and unity. We must continue to look out for each other, especially those most affected by the current economic situation,” Babanumi stated.

“Governor Makinde has once again demonstrated that leadership is about empathy and action. His intervention is a model worth emulating,” Babanumi noted.
As Muslims across the state prepare to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, Babanumi also used the opportunity to extend warm Eid Mubarak greetings to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) family in Oyo State, urging unity, peace, and a renewed spirit of service to the people.
“I say Eid Mubarak,
May this season bring us closer to one another and to the values of faith, compassion, and collective progress.”
