On the sixth year anniversary of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, the Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, delivered a stirring tribute to the governor, hailing him as a “beacon of possibility” on what he described as “game-changing era of progress in Pace Setter”.
In a heartfelt message released Thursday, Kamorudeen reflected on the transformative journey that began six years ago, when Makinde took office with a vision to uplift the state. Standing at what he described as a “crossroads” of even greater possibilities, the chairman expressed profound gratitude for the governor’s unwavering commitment to the people.
The tribute reads;
“Six years ago, Governor Makinde took the reins, promising to shake things up—and he has delivered beyond expectations……Your Excellency, you have been more than a leader. You’ve paved roads, built classrooms, revitalized hospitals, and created jobs—proving governance isn’t about power, it’s about the people!”.
“Here in Lagelu, the evidence is undeniable: stronger communities, thriving markets, and kids dreaming bigger than ever.… the ripple effect of the omituntun vision is just so real and extraordinary— and Oyo State is buzzing with progress”.
The chairman’s tribute comes as Oyo State celebrates a milestone that Kamorudeen sees as both a triumph and a launchpad . Quoting the adage that “the arc of history bends toward justice, toward progress, toward a better tomorrow,” he praised Governor Makinde for bending that arc through courage, compassion, and resolve.
“This is not the end; it is a new beginning,” he declared, rallying residents to march forward with the Governor.
On behalf of the Lagelu people, Chairman Kamorudeen saluted Governor Makinde for six years of “extraordinary leadership,” calling the state a “movement” and a testament to collective belief.
“Thank you, Your Excellency, for leading us with grace, for inspiring us with vision, and for reminding us that together, we will always rise,” he stated.
