As Governor Seyi Makinde clocks six years in office, the Vice Chairman of Egbeda Local Government and Political Head/Administrator of Ajorosun LCDA, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Ibrahim Simple, has extolled the Governor’s leadership style, describing his tenure as “a golden era of purpose-driven governance and revolutionary development” in Oyo State.

In a detailed statement issued from Ajorosun LCDA, Hon. Simple lauded the Governor for what he called “six years of unmatched achievements, visionary leadership, and deep-rooted reforms that have elevated Oyo State to a pride of place among its peers.”

“Governor Makinde has not merely served in office; he has redefined governance in Oyo State with courage, compassion, and competence,” Hon. Simple said.

According to the grassroots leader, the Governor’s tenure has brought transformation to every sector of the state, particularly in education, infrastructure, agriculture, security, and digital governance.

He highlighted Governor Makinde’s bold strides in the education sector, including the elevation of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education to university status, the implementation of a free education policy, and the revitalization of technical and vocational education.

“He is building not just schools but human capital. He has given the children of the poor a chance to dream again,” Hon. Simple noted.

On infrastructure, the Ajorosun LCDA Administrator praised projects such as the Moniya-Iseyin Road, Airport-Ajia-New Ife Expressway, and the ongoing Ibadan Circular Road, describing them as “lifelines for economic development and social mobility.”

He commended the Governor’s agribusiness drive, particularly through initiatives like the Fasola Agribusiness Industrial Hub, which has repositioned agriculture as a profitable and attractive venture for youths.

Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple also pointed to improvements in security, hailing the Western Nigeria Security Network (Amotekun Corps) for its role in grassroots intelligence and crime prevention.

“Amotekun has proven to be an indigenous solution to a local challenge.

Today, Oyo State is safer, more secure, and more resilient,” he said.

Beyond infrastructure and policy, Hon. Simple acknowledged Governor Makinde’s deliberate empowerment of young people through political appointments and leadership opportunities.

“I am a product of the Governor’s inclusive governance model. He doesn’t just preach youth participation—he practices it. He is building leaders for today and tomorrow,” he added.

As the state reflects on the Governor’s six-year journey, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple called on citizens to continue supporting the Makinde administration, noting that the foundations laid so far are already transforming lives and shaping a sustainable future.

“Your Excellency, your leadership has touched lives and transformed destinies.

May your steps remain guided, and your legacy endure,” he concluded.
