Hon. George Ogunlade’s one year in office has been marked by purposeful leadership and impactful governance. 

The commissioning of the Amotekun building, 30 solar streetlights in Isale-Afon, and the presentation of a car to the vigilante group demonstrate his administration’s commitment to progress and development.

The projects were commissioned by Executive Assistant on Project Monitoring, Engr. Open Salawu, along with dignitaries such as Engr. Abu Salam Arije, Alhaja Adijat Oritoke Rainbow, Hon. Sunday Bankole, and Hon. Jide Oketunbi. Engr. 
While speaking, Engr. Salawu, who is the Babalaje of Ogbomosland, praised Hon. George Ogunlade for ushering in a new era of grassroots development and inclusive governance.

He equally commended the chairman for following the footsteps of his Excellency, Seyi Makinde, with his laudable projects which according to him are impactful and promoting good governance. 


 

Earlier in his remarks, Hon. George Ogunlade who shared light on how the project was inherited from the previous chairman, Alhaji Kabiru Ayoade, however thanked officials and supporters for their role in the achievements. 

He promised to extend the solar streetlight project to other wards, in furtherance of his commitment to development.

It should be noted that Hon. George Ogunlade’s one year in office has established a strong foundation for prosperity, dignity, and unity in Ogbomoso North. His leadership exemplifies the impact of focused, transparent, and people-centered governance.
From the onset, Hon. Ogunlade prioritized education as a pillar of development.

He personally led initiatives to distribute chalk, books, and financial support to all secondary schools across the ten wards. Infrastructure received unprecedented attention under his watch, with roads graded, water channels dredged, and community development projects undertaken.

True to his philosophy of governance with empathy, Hon. George Ogunlade launched cash empowerment programs for widows and distributed maize and essential farm chemicals to farmers. Security was given significant support through the donation of patrol vehicles and procurement of arms and cartridges for local vigilante groups.

Environmental and institutional infrastructure also saw considerable upgrades, including the renovation of the Ford Skip Eater and installation of solar lighting within the council premises. Hon. Ogunlade’s humanity shone through in his celebration of the First Baby of the Year and targeted humanitarian support to individuals in need.

These accomplishments are a testament to what focused, transparent, and people-centered governance can achieve within a short time.

Hon. George Ogunlade has laid a solid foundation of excellence in Ogbomoso North, one that promises even greater dividends in the years ahead. With a steady hand and an open heart, he continues to steer the local government toward a future marked by prosperity, dignity, and unity.
