As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to mark Children’s Day, Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi, former Ward 12 Councilor in Ibadan North Local Government and Federal House of Representatives hopeful for Ibadan North, has extended warm greetings to children in Ibadan North, across Oyo State, and the entire nation.
In a statement issued to journalists, Hon. Oyeniyi described children as “the true treasures of our society” and emphasized their vital role as both the heartbeat of communities today and the future leaders of Nigeria.
“Children’s smiles brighten our days, and their dreams inspire us to build a better, kinder, and more prosperous Nigeria,” he said.
“Your education, wellbeing, and happiness are the foundation upon which we will build a stronger nation.”
Hon. Oyeniyi called on parents, educators, community leaders, and policymakers to unite in creating an environment filled with love, safety, and opportunities for children to thrive.
“It is our duty to support policies and programs that prioritize children’s health, education, and protection.
When we invest in our children, we invest in Nigeria’s future,” he added.
The former councilor also encouraged children to dream big and believe in their potential.
“No dream is too great, and no goal is too high. You are the light that will guide us toward a brighter tomorrow,” he said.
