Mayegun Sunday Olusegun Babanumi, a philanthropist and Initiator of Sunday Olusegun Babanuni Initiative has congratulated Hon. Rahman Adepoju and Hon Kehinde Akande, Executive Chairman of Ibadan NorthWest and Ibadan Southwest Local Government respectively on the successful completion of one year in their second terms and four years of impactful leadership as the council bosses.

In a goodwill message made available to the press, Babanumi, a prominent 2027 Federal House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan NorthWest/SouthWest Federal Constituency, described the duos’ administration of as people-focused, development-driven, and attestations to the visionary leadership being fostered under the current political dispensation in Oyo State.

He commended the Executive Chairmen for their unwavering commitment to grassroots development, infrastructural renewal, and inclusive governance over the years, saying his efforts have contributed significantly to the progress and stability of the local government.

“I heartily congratulate Hon. Rahman Adepoju and Hon Kehinde Akande on the milestone of 365 days in office during their second term and four years in total as Executive Chairmen of Ibadan NorthWest and Ibadan Southwest respectively. Their administrations continue to inspire hope and trust in democratic governance at the grassroots,” Babanumi said.

The 2027 House of Reps hopeful also used the occasion to applaud His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for providing enabling leadership and support that have allowed local governments to thrive in Oyo State.


 

In his message, Babanumi extended his heartfelt congratulations to all 33 local government chairmen and vice chairmen in the state, commending their dedication to development and calling for continued synergy with the state government to ensure sustainable progress.

“As we mark this anniversary, I encourage all our leaders to remain steadfast in their service to the people. Our collective goal remains a better Oyo State,” he added.
