Ibadan North federal house of representative hopeful and former Councilor representing Ward 12 in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi, has congratulated the Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen Morenikeji, on the occasion of his one-year anniversary in office.
In a goodwill message released on Friday, Hon. Oyeniyi lauded the Lagelu Council boss for what he described as “a trailblazing and impactful leadership style that has redefined grassroots governance within just one year.”
“Your leadership over the past year has been nothing short of exemplary,” Oyeniyi noted.
“In just 12 months, you have demonstrated uncommon vision, commitment, and a deep passion for service.”
He praised Kamorudeen’s achievements across various sectors, including infrastructural development, security, economic empowerment, and education.
Highlighting notable initiatives such as the reconstruction of the Wafun-Kute Road, the launch of the Lagelu\Secure community safety network, the establishment of a Cooperative Credit Bank, and the creation of the Lagelu Paint Product, Oyeniyi described these as “clear signs of responsive and people-oriented governance.”
He also commended Kamorudeen’s agricultural strides through the establishment of the Lagelu Palm Estate and his administration’s commitment to youth and education, especially the scholarship award presented to a first-class graduate from Abiola Ajimobi Technical University.
“Your governance ethos inspires many of us across local government lines,” Oyeniyi remarked.
The Ibadan North politician concluded his message with prayers for greater achievements in Kamorudeen’s second year, asking God to grant him more wisdom, strength, and support to continue serving the people of Lagelu with excellence.
“Congratulations once again, Mr. Chairman.
The journey has just begun — and the future is indeed bright under your leadership,” he added.
