Councilors in Egbeda Local Government have extended heartfelt congratulations to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Oyedele Sanda, as he marks his one year in office, commending his exceptional leadership and developmental strides across the local government.
In a joint statement released on Saturday, the Councilors described Hon. Sanda as a leader who has consistently shown the capacity to deliver and transform the local government through purposeful governance and people-driven initiatives.
“We are truly delighted to celebrate this remarkable milestone with you,” the statement read.
“Your one year in office has been marked by visible achievements that reflect your passion and commitment to Egbeda’s development.
You have taken our local government to greater heights through your focus on infrastructure, security, and community development.”
The legislators noted that under Hon. Sanda’s leadership, Egbeda has witnessed projects such as the reconstruction and commissioning of the Maku Police Station into an Area Command Office, the installation of solar-powered boreholes in several communities, promotion of inclusive governance that prioritizes the welfare of residents and many more.
Reaffirming their support for the Chairman, the Councilors assured him of a continued harmonious working relationship, pledging to collaborate in the shared vision of moving Egbeda Local Government forward.
“As Councilors, we remain committed to working hand-in-hand with you to deliver more dividends of democracy to our people.
Your leadership is a source of pride, and we are confident that the coming years will bring even more progress,” the statement added.
Hon. Sikiru Sanda, who also serves as the Chairman of the Oyo State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), was re-elected unopposed in 2024, a reflection of the confidence placed in his leadership by his peers and constituents.
