The Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland and President of the Jericho Businessmen Club (JBC), Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, was among prominent stakeholders who attended the Oyo South Senatorial meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held on Wednesday in Igbo Ora, Ibarapa Central Local Government.

The strategic meeting brought together leaders and party faithful from all nine local governments within the senatorial district, namely: Ibadan North, Ibadan North-East, Ibadan South-East, Ibadan South-West, Ibadan North-West, Ido, Ibarapa East, Ibarapa North, and Ibarapa Central.

In his goodwill message, Oloye Adegoke who is also the Chairman of Solutions 93.9 FM commended the executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his exemplary leadership of the PDP in the state.

He equally praised the party’s structure and leadership in the Oyo South Senatorial District, describing the meeting as a timely platform for performance review and strategic alignment across the local governments.

“This year’s senatorial meeting is more organized and interesting than the previous one,” Adegoke noted.


 

“The turnout is massive and highly encouraging, which shows the party’s growing strength at the grassroots.”

He specifically lauded the Oyo State PDP Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, for his commitment and responsiveness.

According to Adegoke, the Secretary diligently took note of challenges raised by representatives from each local government, signaling readiness for swift action.

Calling for unity, Oloye Adegoke urged party members and leaders to remain steadfast and united, pledging his unwavering support for the continued development of the PDP across the state.

The well-attended meeting featured high-profile party chieftains, including:

  • Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Hazeem Gbolarumi
  • Former First Lady of Oyo State, Alhaja Mutiat Olayinka Ladoja
  • Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin
  • Oloye Nureni Akanbi (Iba Oluyole)
  • Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (Don)
  • Federal Lawmaker Ibarapa North/Central Federal constituency Hon. Antony Adepoju Ibarapa Kan
  • Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ademola Ojo (Ijaya)
  • Chairman, Oyo State Housing Corporation, Hon. Ademola Omotoso
  • Chairman, Oyo State Youth Development Agency, Hon. Adebowale Falana
  • All nine local government chairmen within Oyo South Senatorial District, Party leaders and members.

The gathering reflected a renewed commitment to party unity and grassroots mobilization ahead of future political engagements in the state.
