Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi, a former Councillor representing Ward 12 in Ibadan North Local Government and a Federal House of Representatives hopeful, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, popularly known as “Prince,” on the occasion of his first anniversary in office.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Hon. Oyeniyi lauded Falana’s achievements since assuming office on May 20, 2024, following his appointment by Governor Seyi Makinde. He described Falana’s leadership as “visionary, youth-driven, and transformational.”

“Your tenure has been nothing short of exceptional,” Oyeniyi said.

“From revitalizing vocational centres to revamping the Oyo Durbar Youth Centre and fostering meaningful collaborations with both federal agencies and private stakeholders, you have demonstrated rare commitment and unwavering dedication to the progress of Oyo youth.”

He commended Falana’s open-door policy and strong community engagement, which he said had strengthened the connection between the government and the youth constituency in the state.


 

Hon. Matthew also referenced Falana’s advocacy for love, unity, and transformation during public celebrations such as Easter as reflective of his values-driven leadership.

Highlighting specific achievements, Oyeniyi pointed to the successful renovation of youth infrastructure, including the integration of ICT facilities, recreational zones, and administrative structures.

Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi also acknowledged Falana’s strategic partnerships such as his engagement with representatives of the Amala Festival as innovative steps toward cultural and economic inclusion of young people.

“You have become more than a public servant; you are now a symbol of hope and inspiration for the youth of Oyo State,” Oyeniyi emphasized.

He concluded the message by applauding Falana for representing the youth constituency with “vision, vigor, and integrity,” while expressing optimism that the chairman’s tenure would continue to usher in more impactful initiatives.
