
The People’s Democratic Party in Oyo State has again settled internal disputes arising from Afijio local government. In a meeting with different interest groups in the People’s Democratic Party in Afijio local government, the Party employed the crisis management mechanism to resolve all the issues affecting the local government.
The meeting which was chaired by the State Secretary of the Party, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke had in attendance other members of the State Working Committee; Hon. James Olukunle, The State Deputy Chairman, Hon. Micheal Ogunsina, Barrister Waheed Gbadegesin, Hon. Kunmi Adesina and Pastor Biodun Popoola.
It could be recalled that the State leadership of the Party has been engaging different local government chapters of the Party in a bid to settle all issues that could potentially tear the big umbrella apart.
The stakeholders of the Party from Afijio Local Government all resolved to forget all past events and forge ahead in the best interest of the Party. They also declared total support and loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde led administration in Oyo State.
The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party in Oyo reiterated Party supremacy over personal interests. It also encouraged State actors to be alive to their responsibilities.
Part of the stakeholders from Afijio Local Government who attended the peace meeting included Hon. Deji Oparinde, Hon. Kayode Adio, Hon. Femi Aikomo, Alhaji Hamzat, Hon. Segun Adeleke, Baba Akanbi, Hon. Sunday Akindele and other AFIJIO Leaders.
