Two term Oyo state house of assembly member and Ibadan North federal house of representative hopeful, Hon. Olusegun Olaleye, popularly known as Radical Brother, has congratulated Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle on his nomination as the Executive Director (Commercial and Environmental Development) of the newly inaugurated South West Development Commission (SWDC).

He also poured glowing commendations on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as a “brilliant, strategic, and forward-thinking” decision.

Hon. Olusegun olalaeye ‘Radical Brother ‘, said the President’s nomination of Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle reflects a deep understanding of merit, regional needs, and leadership with results.

“This appointment is a masterstroke by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

It is a clear demonstration of his unparalleled ability to identify tested and trusted technocrats who will drive genuine development across the South West region,” he said.

He described Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle as a man of outstanding character, competence, and vision.

“Alhaji Ibikunle has consistently delivered excellence in every national assignment he has undertaken.

As former Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), he brought reform, structure, and credibility to the institution,” Olaleye noted.

He continued, “President Tinubu, a man of great political sagacity and administrative wisdom, has once again reaffirmed his reputation as a leader who rewards competence and prioritizes progress.

His keen sense of judgment in assembling patriotic Nigerians to drive the affairs of the SWDC is highly commendable.

With leaders like Alhaji Ibikunle on board, the Commission is bound to succeed.”

Olusegun olaleye also applauded the President for including other capable Nigerians in the commission’s board, including Hon. Ibrahim Olaifa, a former member of the House of Representatives from Oluyole Federal Constituency, who was nominated as a member representing Oyo State.

The President, in a communication to the National Assembly, nominated 18 individuals for the South West Development Commission, with former Ekiti Senator Olubunmi Adetunbi proposed as Chairman and Charles Akinola as Managing Director.

Other nominees include Bolaji Ariyo, Joseph Olugbenga, Nike Omoworare, Olumuyiwa Olabimtan, Adewinle Martins, Kabiru Lakwaya, retired General Abdul Adamu, Arinola Fagbemi, Ukoha Onyekwere, Howell Ihenacho, Olugbenga Olufehinti, Tele Ogunjobi, Funmilayo Tejuosho, and Lateef Ajijola.

Hon. Olaleye concluded by expressing strong confidence that Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, under the guidance of President Tinubu’s visionary administration, will deliver transformational results that will enhance commercial and environmental development across the South West.
