In celebration of the 2025 Workers’ Day, Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland and Chairman of Solutions 93.9 FM, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, has paid a glowing tribute to Nigerian workers, describing them as “the lifeline of all businesses.”
His commendation comes as workers across the country mark May Day with rallies, reflections, and renewed calls for improved labor conditions.
The Oyo PDP gubernatorial aspirant, Oloye Adegoke, emphasized that without the tireless efforts and dedication of workers, businesses and institutions would grind to a halt.
“Our workers are the heartbeat of every industry. Their resilience, skills, and sacrifices fuel productivity and economic growth.
On this special day, we must acknowledge their indispensable role in society,” he stated.
In his message, Oloye Adegoke also praised the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of workers in the state.
He highlighted the governor’s policy of consistent and early salary payments, commending the administration for disbursing wages by the 25th of every month without fail.
“This gesture may seem simple, but its impact is profound.
Timely salary payment boosts worker morale, supports household planning, and strengthens the local economy.
Governor Makinde’s leadership in this regard is worthy of national emulation,” Adegoke noted.
He urged both public and private employers to adopt similar practices, stressing that the dignity of labor must be matched with prompt rewards and respect for workers’ rights.
