The political community in Ibadan NorthWest is in mourning following the passing of Alhaja Kudirat Jimoh, the respected Woman Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the local government area.

Alhaja Jimoh passed away on Monday, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service and unwavering commitment to her party and community.

A Fidau prayer—a traditional Islamic ceremony held to honor the deceased—was held on Wednesday and drew a large gathering of family, friends, and political associates.

In response to this tragic loss, Mayegun Sunday Olusegun Babanumi, a PDP chieftain and House of Representatives hopeful for the Ibadan NorthWest/SouthWest Federal Constituency, extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family; the Executive Chairman of Ibadan NorthWest Local Government, Alhaji Rahman Adepoju; the PDP Chairman in Ibadan NorthWest, Alhaji Lukman Adesina; and all members of the party.

“Alhaja Kudirat Jimoh was a pillar of strength within the PDP and a passionate advocate for the people of Ibadan NorthWest,” said Mayegun Babanumi in his condolence message.

“Her dedication and unwavering support for the party will be deeply missed.

We share in the grief of her family, friends, and the entire PDP community during this difficult time.”

He also acknowledged the deep loss felt by the local government leadership and party structure, emphasizing the significant role Alhaja Jimoh played in fostering unity and progress within the party.

“We pray that Almighty Allah grants her eternal rest and gives comfort and strength to all those she left behind,” he added.
