In commemoration of this year’s Good Friday, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has extended his heartfelt message of reflection, peace, and unity to the Christian faithful and the entire residents of the local government.
In his statement made available through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu, Hon. Olufade urged residents to reflect on the significance of the day, which symbolizes sacrifice, love, and redemption.
He emphasized the need for community members to emulate the virtues of humility, compassion, and service exemplified by Jesus Christ.
“Good Friday reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice and love shown for humanity.
It is a time to reflect deeply, live with compassion, and continue to serve our communities with sincerity,” he said.
The council chairman further called on the people of Ibadan North to continue fostering unity, peace, and kindness as key ingredients for development and communal harmony.
He prayed that the solemnity of the day would inspire renewed strength and hope in all, encouraging everyone to remain steadfast in their faith and dedication to building a better Ibadan North.
The message comes as Christians around the world observe the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, marking the beginning of the Easter weekend.
