
In the wake of the recently concluded South West Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Zonal Congress, prominent PDP chieftain and 2027 gubernatorial aspirant, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke FCA, has extended heartfelt commendations to Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Ademola Adeleke of Osun State for their exemplary leadership and roles in ensuring a peaceful and transparent congress.
Oloye Adegoke, who also holds the esteemed title of Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, described the congress as a “victory for internal democracy and a unifying milestone for the South West PDP.”
He applauded the atmosphere of maturity and unity that prevailed during the exercise, affirming that the outcome reflects the collective will of party stakeholders across the zone.
The PDP stalwart further congratulated Alhaji Kamorudeen Ajisafe on his emergence as the South West Zonal Chairman of the party, describing him as “a grassroots leader with the capacity to reposition the PDP for greater electoral success in the region.”
He also extended his congratulations to Alhaja Abosede Modinat Adedibu for her return as South West Zonal Women Leader and other zonal officers.
Oloye Adegoke urged the new leadership to prioritize inclusiveness, loyalty, and strategic planning as they steer the party toward victory in future elections, particularly the 2027 general elections.
He emphasized that the PDP remains the most viable platform for the delivery of good governance and the sustenance of democracy in Nigeria.
“The success of this congress is a strong signal that our party is ready to reclaim its place as the dominant political force in the South West.
I am confident that with visionary leadership and a united front, the PDP will deliver progress and prosperity to our people,” he concluded.
