The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially declared Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, 2025, as public holidays to mark this year’s Easter celebrations.
In a statement issued by the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the government urged Christians across the country to emulate the selflessness, love, and sacrifice of Jesus Christ as demonstrated by his death and resurrection.
The Minister extended warm wishes to all Nigerians, especially the Christian faithful, and called for continued peace, unity, and tolerance among citizens during and after the festive period.
He also encouraged Nigerians to remain committed to the nation’s development and uphold values that promote mutual understanding and coexistence.
