
The political tempo in Oyo State rose a notch on Sunday as Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, FCA, formally declared his intention to contest for the governorship seat of Oyo State in 2027 under the People’s Democratic Party with the banner of the Solutions 2027.
Speaking at the Ward 10 meeting of Ibadan SouthWest Local Government Area, held at Aresa, Adegoke told party members and leaders, “I was at my Ward 10 meeting today at Aresa where I declared my intention to contest for Oyo State Governor in 2027.”
His announcement was met with thunderous applause and chants of support from loyalists and community stakeholders.
In a show of goodwill and grassroots solidarity, Adegoke made a financial commitment of N3.5 million to the ward.
The donation was split as follows: N2 million to Ward 10 members, N1 million to the ward executive committee, and N500,000 to party leaders.
“This is the beginning of our journey to the Agodi Government House,” he declared with resolve, signaling the commencement of what promises to be a dynamic and people-focused campaign.
Adegoke, who holds the traditional title of Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland and serves as Chairman of Solutions 93.9 FM Ibadan, is known for his philanthropic efforts and dedication to progressive governance.

With this bold declaration, the race to Agodi in 2027 has officially begun, one marked by strategic vision, grassroots engagement, and a call for Solutions.
