
The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke has extended heartfelt condolences to the Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo following the passing of his beloved father, Alhaji Chief Yekeen Adeojo, a renowned political figure and elder statesman.
The late Alhaji Adeojo whose passing was announced on Friday, April 4, 2025 was a foundational pillar of the People Democratic Party (PDP) and served as a former Deputy National Chairman of the party. He was widely respected for his wisdom, political foresight and steadfast commitment to democracy and good governance.
In a condolence message signed by the executive chairman and made available by his personal assistant, Azeez Sodiq Adesina, Hon. Adeleke described the loss as “a monumental one not just to the Adeojo family, but to the PDP family and the entire Oyo State political landscape.”
“Alhaji Chief Yekeen Adeojo was a statesman of immense value. His contribution to the growth of our great party and his legacy of service will forever remain in the sands of time. I stand with my dear brother and colleague, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo in this moment of grief and offer my deepest condolences to his family and the people of Ido Local Government,” he said.
Hon. Adeleke prayed for Allah mercy upon the soul of the deceased and strength for the family to bear the irreparable loss while urging all party members and loved ones to celebrate the impactful life of the late political icon.
