
The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke has successfully completed the construction of a Box Culvert at Oke Olókun River, Isale Oba, Igboora bringing much-needed relief to school children, residents and farmers in the area.
The project which was flagged off on January 27, 2025 addresses the long-standing challenges posed by the river, especially during the rainy season. Flooding had rendered the road impassable, disrupting access to schools and making it difficult for farmers to transport their produce. The completion of the box culvert now ensures safe and seamless movement for all.
Beyond its immediate benefits, Oke Olókun serves as a potential extension of Igboora, offering opportunities for further urban expansion. With improved infrastructure, the area is now better positioned for residential development, contributing to the town’s growth and economic progress.
In a statement made available by his Personal Assistant, Azeez Sodiq Adesina, Hon. Adeleke reiterated his administration dedication to providing infrastructure that directly impacts the lives of the people.
