In particular, the Oyo Reps Hopeful saluted the resilience, strength, and contributions of the women of Ibadan NorthWest and SouthWest Federal Constituency, recognizing their pivotal role in building strong families and shaping a brighter future.

Speaking on this year’s IWD theme, “Accelerate Action,” Babanumi emphasized the need for urgent and intentional efforts to advance women’s rights, close gender gaps, and ensure equal opportunities for all.

“Women are the backbone of our society, playing vital roles in governance, business, and family life. This year’s theme reminds us that we must move beyond discussions and take decisive steps to empower women, not just in Oyo State but across Nigeria,” he stated.
