As the world unites to celebrate International Women’s Day, I, Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi, former Ward 12 Councilor in Ibadan North Local Government and Federal House of Representatives hopeful, extend my heartfelt felicitations to the incredible women of Ibadan North, Oyo State, and across the globe.
This year’s theme, “#AccelerateAction”, reminds us of the urgent need to amplify efforts toward gender equality, empowerment, and inclusion.
Women continue to be the backbone of our homes, communities, and economy, demonstrating resilience, leadership, and excellence in every field.
On this special day, I reaffirm my commitment to supporting initiatives that:
- Empower Women Economically – Creating more opportunities for women in business, politics, and leadership.
- Promote Girl-Child Education – Ensuring every girl has access to quality education and skills for a brighter future.
- Enhance Women’s Health and Well-being – Advocating for better healthcare, maternal support, and gender-sensitive policies.
As we celebrate the achievements of women today, let us also recognize the barriers they still face and work collectively to break them down.
