The management of Ilaji FM Radio, a unit under the Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort conglomerate, has confirmed the resignation of Mr. Ajibola Akinyefa, clarifying that his departure was voluntary and not a result of intimidation, as speculated in some quarters.
In an official statement, the management emphasized that Ilaji FM, like all units within the conglomerate, operates with strict adherence to professional ethics, competence, and diligence, ensuring that all staff uphold the highest standards of responsibility and accountability.
The statement further revealed that Mr. Ajibola Akinyefa’s change in designation from General Manager (GM) to Head of Station (HOS) was a strategic decision made in good faith, aimed at aiding his professional growth and improving his management skills. However, his inefficiency, coupled with an attitude perceived as prideful and dismissive of established managerial procedures, ultimately led to his decision to resign.
“We sympathize with Mr. Ajibola Akinyefa, who voluntarily exited his position, not due to any form of intimidation, but rather as a result of self-inflicted professional shortcomings. At Ilaji, every position comes with responsibilities, and every responsibility is an obligation. Anything short of this is unacceptable,” the statement read.
The management urged the public to disregard any misinformation surrounding Ajibola Akinyefa’s resignation, reiterating the company’s commitment to upholding integrity, discipline, and excellence in all aspects of its operations.
