The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has received widespread commendation for constructing the Pacesetter Modern Car Park and Lock-Up Shops in front of the Ibadan North Local Government Council, Agodi.

The commissioning event, which took place yesterday, turned into a grand celebration as people gathered en masse to witness the unveiling of this landmark project, handled by Zubazi Logistics and Construction Ltd.

In his welcome speech, Hon. Olufade expressed his profound gratitude to the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Barrister Bayo Lawal, for taking time out of his busy schedule to commission the project.

He also appreciated Nigeria Immigration service, Oyo state command, PDP leaders, Ibadan North Local Government staff, House of Assembly members, state appointees, councilors, supervisory councilors, special assistants, and residents for their presence at the event.

Hon. Olufade highlighted that the Pacesetter Modern Car Park and Lock-Up Shops were constructed to decongest the always-busy council road and curb indiscriminate parking in the area.

He emphasized that the road is of great importance as it is surrounded by key institutions, including:
- Oyo State Government House
- NYSC State Secretariat
- Nigeria Immigration Service, Oyo State Command
He further stated that Ibadan North Local Government is the pacesetter of all local governments in Oyo State, hence the project’s name.

According to him, since assuming office, he has been thinking outside the box to improve the well-being of his constituents and foster the development of the local government.
Beyond addressing parking issues, Hon. Olufade noted that the project would:
- Control unnecessary loitering of hawkers in the area
- Enhance security within the surroundings
- Generate revenue for the local government

He also revealed that the second phase of the project would commence soon, assuring that institutions such as the NYSC and Nigeria Immigration Service would benefit from it.
He concluded by promising more meaningful projects for the local government.

The CEO of Zubazi Logistics and Construction Ltd, Mr. Ayodele Alayande, expressed gratitude to Hon. Olufade and the Ibadan North Local Government for entrusting his company with the project.
He stated that with years of experience in constructing standard edifices, his company had promised to deliver a beautiful and high-quality facility and to the glory of God, it was successfully completed and ready for use.
While highlighting the features of the Pacesetter Modern Car Park and Lock-Up Shops, Mr. Ayo Alayande stated that it includes:
- A car park with an easy payment system
- Lock-up shops
- Male and female toilets
- A standard five-a-side football pitch
- A green area to support climate action
- An administrative block
- A serene night-time environment

He also assured that his company remains committed to delivering top-quality infrastructure projects in the future.

Mr. Ayo Alayande attended the event with his father, Alhaji Sulaiman Alayande, mother, Alhaja Risikat Alayande, and wife, Mrs. Hafeezah Alayande.

Before commissioning the project, Deputy Governor Barrister Bayo Lawal shared his excitement about the initiative.
He provided a brief history of the site, stating that he had lived in Ibadan North for 50 years.

According to him, the site was previously allocated to a former Oyo State commissioner, but the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) was revoked during the administration of Governor Lam Adesina.
Over time, the area became a hub for miscreants, making the transformation under Hon. Olufade’s leadership even more commendable.
The Deputy Governor emphasized that the facility was long overdue and particularly significant due to its proximity to key government institutions.

He also urged the council and the consultants to prioritize maintenance to preserve the structure’s beauty and functionality, suggesting yearly renovations.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from PDP Chieftain, Baba Ismaila Ashipa, followed by the official commissioning of the facility by the Deputy Governor.

With this laudable project, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade has once again proven his commitment to the development and transformation of Ibadan North Local Government, promising more groundbreaking projects in the near future.
