In a bold move to empower young entrepreneurs and stimulate economic growth, the Oyo State Government, through the State Agency for Youth Development, has launched a pioneering initiative to support the development of youth-led businesses.

The initiative, which was unveiled during a visit to two prominent business training centers in Ibadan, aims to provide young entrepreneurs with the skills, expertise, and resources required to succeed in today’s fast-paced business landscape.

According to Prince Falana Adebowale, Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, the initiative is designed to identify, nurture, and support young entrepreneurs who have the potential to drive innovation and economic growth in the state.

He said the agency aims to empower these individuals by providing the necessary training and support that will enable them to thrive in today’s competitive business landscape.

According to him, “Our goal is to create a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem that supports the growth and development of youth-led businesses; we believe that by empowering young entrepreneurs, we can unlock the full potential of our state and create a brighter future for our citizens.”

However, the initiative has received widespread support from stakeholders, including business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community organizations.

In their separate reaction, at one of the business training centers visited by the delegation, Mr. Timothy Ayodele, the owner of Sheda(“Create”), in Joyful Mood acknowledged that this is a welcome development for Pacesetter State entrepreneurs.

“We showcased an open business specializing in web development, coding, app creation, photography, and video editing. Our program is designed to assess and enhance the capacity, expertise, and staff strength of young entrepreneurs

“We are excited to partner with the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development to support the growth and development of young entrepreneurs.”

Also, the Ibadan Incubation Hub is managed by Mrs. Oyenike A. Adeleke, who also serves as the convener of the Ibadan Entrepreneurs Network; reaffirmed that The Hub is dedicated to identifying, training, mentoring, and promoting the mental well-being of entrepreneurs through comprehensive coaching and advocacy initiatives.

The Oyo State Agency for Youth Development has pledged to continue working tirelessly to support the development of young entrepreneurs and stimulate economic growth in the state.

By providing young entrepreneurs with the skills, expertise, and resources required to succeed, the agency is confident that it can make a positive impact on the state’s economy and create a brighter future for its citizens.

In the entourage of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development Chairman were; Oyo State PDP Youth Leader, Hon. Michael Ogunsina, Hon. Femi Afolabi, Asiwaju YSO Oladunni, Akintayo Abioye, Temitope Kareem and several others.
